About

Hello,
my name is Tristan Voßhenrich and this is my website! The main purpose of this website is to share my experiences and photos from my journeys, without forcing others to see them in their newsfeed on social media. I will start by introducing myself, talking slightly about my experiences so far, since I will probably not write any blog posts about my past adventures.

So let me introduce myself:

I am an openminded german citizien, who is eager to improve the world in small steps, wherever it is possible. Currently I am enrolled at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology as an electrical engineering and information technology student. I strongly believe in the power of technology and the capabilities of humans to leverage it in order to improve life in all facets and for everyone.

After I finished my “A-levels” I spent half a year in New Zealand. The time abroad was very influencal, igniting my joy for exploring the world. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new languages and exploring new cultures. Obviously from a cultural point of view New Zealnd was only in certain areas different from europe, therefore I decided to spend 2 months in Chile and Argentina, while waiting for my exchange semester in Singapore to begin. Chile was not necessarily a cultural shock to me, but it was a challenge to find my spot there. Especially the demonstrations and my poor spanish skills made the first few days very difficult. I enjoy coming out of my comfort zone and tackling new challenges! After my stay in Argentina, I spent a semester living and studying in Singapore at the National University of Singapore. This was my favorite semester so far, since the weather was good every day and I had a lot of freedom there. My workload was also not too heavy, because I only took a few courses, resulting in more free time to explore the surrounding countries and getting in touch with people!

In my studies, I am majoring in electrical engineering, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Controls, as a minor I take courses in the direction of quantum computing and quantum information technology. Since my third semester I work for the university as a scientific assistant. During my first internship I worked for Porsche in the department of highly automated and autonomous driving. Currently I am working on a project concering the Belle II experiment in Japan and I am looking forward to my second internship for Bosch in the quantumtechnology department!

Apart from my studies, I am a sports enthusiast, playing football and basketball since a young age. I also enjoy watching football, basketball and american football, so I spend a fair amount of screen time each week on sports!
